How 4 Fleur Marché Staffers Use CBD for Fitness
We all know that adding a workout buddy to your fitness routine can do wonders for your overall wellness.
The right partner will hold you accountable, make you laugh during lunges, spot you for safety, and encourage friendly competition. But if you haven’t yet found that exercise comrade who loves night hikes as much as you do, might we suggest some CBD?
Its natural qualities make it perfect for both pre- and post-workout because not only can it calm the anxieties that come with embarking on a new activity, but it can also offer relief from those hard-earned aches that arise the next day.
Here’s how four Fleur Marché staffers incorporate CBD into their exercise.

I like to switch up my workouts a lot, so I’ve done classes that use TRX bands, gliding discs, drum sticks…but the Axle Workout is versatile all by itself. It’s a lightweight barbell on wheels, so you can add plates to it, use it for core rollouts, attach it to your feet and do pikes or glute lifts. Simply put, it leaves me sore everywhere so, naturally, I want a CBD topical that I can apply all over. Yuyo Botanics’ Turmeric Salve has been my favorite because it’s silky, not sticky; smells sweeter than Tiger Balm (my former go-to); and is made with over a dozen natural ingredients that I can actually pronounce. It feels like it's “cooling” down my sore spots, and it does so very quickly, so that's the ultimate relief. (@daniellesaid)

As of late, it's been important for me to reignite my love of running. And with that has come a lot of tension and achy muscles. Since the running is new so is the amount of stretching. I love to take a tincture pre-stretch to just mellow me out and not make me feel as though I'm still ‘working out.’ I also love, love, love Mary’s Elite Compound because, with 100mg of CBD, it’s more powerful than average topicals and is deeply absorbed. As a cream, it really gets to the core of my aches, which would otherwise be overlooked or the source of continued complaints! (@janglejungle)

I always alternate between bouts of lower-intensity workouts (yoga, barre, mat pilates) and HIIT, and right now I'm super into the Train class at my gym, Pharos Athletic Club. It incorporates interval weight training with four walls of cardio: Row, Ski, Bike and Run. Needless to say, it's intense! Afterwards, my muscles are always sore for a day or two, but I love taking a bath with Vertly’s Hemp-Infused Bath Salts the night after a workout. It combines dead sea salts and magnesium with CBD for an extra soothing boost. I’m left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and am able to get back to the gym ASAP for another class. (@emma_was_here)

I've been loving Hot Pilates, but my muscles, especially my calf muscles (don't know what that's about?!), get super sore afterward. I try to tackle the issue before class with Dr. Kerklaan's Pain Spray. It helps loosen me up which, in conjunction with the room's added heat, saves me from that post-pilates strain. (@katieclementi)
